Advanced Nitrox Course

The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 to a depth of 40 metres/130 feet during dives that do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career.

Why take the Advanced Nitrox course?

This course examines the use of EAN 21 through 100% (oxygen) for optimal bottom mixes to a depth of 40msw. The object of this course is to learn the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilizing EAN 21 through 100% (oxygen) for dives not requiring staged decompression. The Decompression Procededures course may be combined with this course.

What's involved in the course?

The course covers topics like equipment requirements, dive planning, oxygen tracking and blending methods that are required to use nitrox mixtures from 40% - 100%. During the course you will do a minimum of 4 dives and 100 minutes. This course can also be combined with the Decompression Procedures course to save time and money.

Who can take the course?

To take this course you must be a Nitrox/Enriched Air Diver, be 15 years old and have 25 logged dives

The theory is done in our Mana shop and the dives are done at one of our local dive sites unless you combine it with the Decompression Procedures course which is usually run in Taupo
