The TDI Advanced Trimix Diver course is the top level of training for open circuit divers wishing to dive to depths as deep as 100 m / 330 feet utilizing hypoxic levels of oxygen (below 17 percent). This course is perhaps one of the most informative and challenging and upon completion you are among some of the most elite divers.

Why take the Advanced Trimix course?

The objective of the course is to train you in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilising trimix breathing gas. Many of the best preserved wrecks lie deeper than 55 metres as the lack of swell and light has kept them in better shape. The safest way to explore these depths is using trimix, and you will certainly remember more of your dive that way. Diving to these depths requires greater gas and deco planning which you will learn in this course.

What's involved in the course?

During the course you will learn equipment management, multiple stage cylinder labeling and placement, complex decompression planning and contingency planning, gas planning, dive team awareness and communication, gas monitoring and management and the use of travel gasses. During the course you will do a minimum of 4 dives, two of which are deeper that 55 metres.

Who can take the course?

To take the course you must have Extended Range or Entry Level Trimix certification, 100 logged dives and be 18 years old.
