Instructor Development Course

Are you looking for something extraordinary? To do something others can only dream of? To help people transform their lives? To open doors you didn’t even know existed? All of this, and more, awaits you as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.

Why take the Instructor Development course?

The PADI Instructor Development program is your gateway to a world of adventure. By becoming a PADI Scuba Instructor you obtain the dive industry's most sought after professional qualification. This program will further the skills you learnt in the Divemaster course and prepare you for sharing the underwater world by teaching people to dive

What's involved in the course?

The IDC includes 6 days of learning how to teach the various PADI programs you will be qualified to teach on the completion of the IE. We will cover a range of techniques and skills for inwater teaching as well as presenting knowledge sessions to groups. Prior to starting the IDC you will need to have completed the eLearning section of the program so allow plenty of time to work through this and your dive theory beforehand. At the completion of the IDC you will be prepared to take the PADI Intsructor Exam to become an Open Water Scuba Instructor

Who can take the course?

To take the Instructor Development Course you must be a PADI Divemaster (or qualifying certification from another training organization), be 18 years old, have 60 logged dives before starting the course and be a certified diver for at least 6 months. You also need an Emergency First Response Instructor rating which we can organise to run before the IDC begins
