The PADI Open Water course is your entry into the world of diving and will open the world of diving up to you. Once you’ve completed this course you are welcome to participate in as many shore dives with us after your course as you like – at no cost other than air fills or gear hire.

What's involved in the course?
You breathe underwater for the first time (something you'll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you'll make at least five pool dives and four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main sections, Knowledge Development to understand basic principles of scuba diving, Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills and Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore! We provide all the equipment for the course, all you have to bring is your togs and towel.
Who can take the course?
Anyone who is 10 years old or older can sign up for the course, all you have to do is get a diving medical filled out by your doctor.
When does the course run?
The course runs over two weekends from 9am to 4:30pm. New courses start every two weeks throughout the year. Can't make it in the weekend, not a problem, book in for a one on one course during the week or get a group of 4 or more together and we can arrange dates for you!

The knowledge development takes place at our dive centre and the confined water dives take place in our indoor heated swimming pool. For the open water dives we head to one of the many local dive sites.
How do I sign up?
Drop by the shop and pay a $100 deposit to book your spot on a course. We will talk to you about dates etc. and give you your Open Water Manual.
