Why take the Underwater Naturalist course?

Just like getting to know your equipment, getting to know your environment is a big step to getting more out of your diving. Knowing why fish are acting the way they are, knowing where to look for certain creatures and learning the relationship between animals, plants and the environment will all make your diving more enjoyable and fufilling

What's involved in the course?

We will cover the major aquatic life groupings, interactions and factual information that dispels negative myths; the role of aquatic plants, food chains and predator prey relationships; responsible interactions with aquatic life; and the underwater naturalist’s view of organisms and their roles in the environment.

Who can take the course?

To take this course you must have a PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization) and be at least 10 years old.

All our specialties run regularly year round. Our training staff can work out an individual schedule for the specialty courses that interest you.

Where does the course run?

For the dives we head to one of the many local dive sites.
