Why take the PADI Drift Diver course?

The PADI Drift Diver Specialty course introduces you to the coolest magic carpet ride you’ll ever experience. This course shows you how to enjoy rivers and ocean currents by “going with the flow,” staying with your dive partner, communicating with the dive boat and knowing where you are the whole time.
What’s involved in the course?
During your PADI Drift Diver course you’ll learn about drift dive planning, organisation, dive techniques as well as special equipment. But it’s not all theory as you’ll go on two open water dives where you can put your new knowledge into action.
Who can take the course?
To take this course you must have an Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification and be at least 12 years old.
When does the course run?
All our specialties run regularly year round. Our training staff can work out an individual schedule for the specialty courses that interest you.
Where does the course run?
This course is usually run in Taupo down the Waikato River.

Drop by the shop or give us a call to work out your Specialty Course timetable. Remember you need 5 Specialties to qualify for the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
