Why Should I do it?
- Reason One!:
The Adventure Diver rating, along with 20 dives, is the pre-requisite for our dive trip adventures. These incorporate: trips away, lots of fun, excitement and PADI Specialty qualifications. - Reason Two!:
You learn new skills that will help you - you do not repeat any Open Water ones such as mask removal. No waiting! No exams! - Reason Three!:
You can upgrade to Advanced Open Water if you wish.
What is involved in the PADI Adventure Diver Course?
Three different sea dives selected from the following list: Navigation, Deep, Boat, Drift, Naturalist, Wreck, Night, Buoyancy, Dry Suit. Video. Multi-level, Photography, Altitude, or Search & Recovery.
Do We Get To Choose?
Yes, within reason. If the weather allows we will try and do what you choose.
When Should I Do It?
The best time is immediately after your PADI Open Water course finishes
How Long does it run for?
As little as one day.
When Is It?
We conduct these courses every month.
How much does it cost?
The Adventure Diver Course costs $240 and if you choose to undertake it within two calendar months of completing your NZSA Open Water Course: the price will be reduced by 10%! Price is exclusive of dive gear.
Do I Need Gear?
No. If you have completed our NZSA Open Water course within the last two months, we will provide the gear hire at half price. We have torches in the shop if you want to do the optional night dive.
