Naturalist
Why?
If you want to learn more about the underwater environment and our neighbours down there, this is the programme for you. You will have fun checking out the wee creatures and being able to put names to fins - I mean fish.
What do I need to start?
Open Water Diver qualification
What will I do?
We introduce the subject in the classroom and then go diving to identify vertibrates, invertibrates and some sea weeds. You will find you are much more confident when talking to other divers about fish ID, behaviour and habitat.
What does it cost?
$245 which includes scuba tank hire, two open water dives and certification as a PADI underwater naturalist specialty diver.
Where can I go from here?
This is an ideal way to start towards PADIs highest non-professional qualification which is PADI Master Scuba Diver. If you enjoyed your time with our underwater neighbours you may wish to join us on the AWARE Fish ID Diver or Research Diver Specialties
At your instructor's discretion, you can count your Adventures In Diving Naturalist Adventure Dive towards the Naturalist Diver Specialty course, which also counts as one of the five specialty certifications for the PADI Master Scuba Diver certification.
