Why?
Do we really need to say this to some of you poor, lost, souls? Well, as some may be a bit more lost than others… Knowing where you are & where you're going makes a big difference to how much fun you have! U/W Navigation can make your diving more relaxing & may be the difference between finding a special spot under water - or not. Learn how to:
- Build your confidence & put yourself in control of your dive plan
- Make your dive planning more effective
- Improve keeping together with your buddy
- Save energy by avoiding long surface swims, &
- Save air U/W.
What's involved?
Theory of Underwater Navigation (compass & natural), practice on land, 3 supervised open water dives in which to learn & practice your new knowledge & skills, including:
- How to estimate distances U/W
- Compass & natural navigation techniques
- Useful U/W navigation patterns, &
- Dive site & object relocation (above & below the surface).
What do I need to have to start?
You must be at least PADI Junior Open Water Diver qualified or equivalent (just ask us!).
What's it cost?
$295, including SCUBA cylinder hire & certification as a PADI U/W Navigator.
