This is a three day programme usually conducted over two weekends. There is one day of theory and two practical days in the sea. We can also offer you the pre-requisite PADI Emergency First Response course (first aid & CPR).

Syllabus
The programme includes procedures and practice in:

  • Helping a tired diver
  • Rescuing a panicking diver
  • Searching for a missing diver
  • Responding to a distressed diver underwater
  • Surfacing an unconcious diver
  • Rescuing an unconcious diver on the surface
  • Administering first aid to a rescued diver
  • and other skills and scenarios

 

Pre-requisites
You must have a current first aid & CPR certificate and have a PADI Junior Advanced Open Water or PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or a qualifying rating prior to starting the Rescue course. Those divers under 15 years of age who successfully complete the PADI Rescue course will be awarded the PADI Junior Rescue Diver Certificate.

Cost
The PADI Rescue course costs $350. The PADI Emergency First Response course (first aid & CPR) costs $135. These costs include manuals and certification.

Medical
You will require a Doctors medical clearance not less then one year old on the course completion date.
