Kids fun for Adults – Drift Diving is nearly effortless and relaxing. You simply glide along and enjoy the rush of flying underwater while the current does the work for the Drift Diver.
Why take the PADI Drift Diver course?
This course introduces you to the coolest magic carpet ride you’ll ever experience. This course shows you how to enjoy rivers and ocean currents by “going with the flow,” staying with your dive partner, communicating with the dive boat and knowing where you are the whole time.
What’s involved in the PADI Drift Diver Specialty course?
During your course you’ll learn about drift dive planning, organisation, dive techniques as well as special equipment. But it’s not all theory as you’ll go on two open water dives where you can put your new knowledge into action.
Who can take the Drift Diver course?
To take this course you must have an Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification and be at least 12 years old.

All our specialties run regularly year round. Our training staff can work out an individual schedule for the specialty courses that interest you.
Where does the course run?
This course is usually run in Taupo down the Waikato River.
