PADI Divemaster course, what are your options?

Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational scuba diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. PADI Divemaster is the prerequisite certification for both the PADI Assistant Instructor and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certifications.

During the PADI Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems as well as help others improve their scuba. You put this knowledge into action through a structured internship or series of practical training exercises.

To take the Divemaster course you must be a PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization), be 18 years of age and have completed 40 dives to start the program and 60 dives to be certified. We tailor the course around the time you have available. You do the theory online with PADI eLearning to give you more time working on your leadership and dive skills while you are here with us in the dive centre.
You then choose between the Internship option or the Practical Assessment option if you are in a hurry.

During the Internship option the training will be spread out over a couple of months depending on your schedule, you will be helping out with real classes and getting to work with actual students. As mentioned, if you need to finish the course quickly we can run the Practical Assessment option which can be completed in as little as 6 days by simulating classes and students where needed.
