Friendliest (and most professional) Wellington dive shop
I originally went to NZSA on the recommendation from a friend. They certainly live up to the reputation for being professional and the best diving establishment in Wellington.
I kept diving with them mainly because they share my enthusiasm for diving. There will always be someone keen to join me for a dive. I know that there will always be someone going out for a dive on Thursday nights and all I have to do is turn up.
The staff are very knowledgeable, have all the skills and are approachable and friendly. They encourage me to develop and extend my knowledge. They help me to do so by suggesting the best courses for me through the monthly crew nights.
When I did my PADI Divemaster course, I knew that I was learning from the best and so my knowledge and skills are better for it. I had loads of fun and can’t wait to do my next course. There were only two of us on the course so I got the individual attention that I wouldn’t receive elsewhere.
Crew nights gave me an opportunity to talk to other divers in a (dry) social situation and a chance to meet other enthusiasts and maybe get some new diving buddies. The talks are always really interesting and help me to broaden my knowledge about subjects related to diving.
NZSA also encouraged me to get involved. They offer opportunities to do things that are slightly out of the ordinary such as drift diving in Taupo, and things to help the community and environment like cleaning the Hikitia.
When I was in New Zealand I have made some of my most valuable friends at NZSA (who I am still in touch with) because they’re all as passionate about the sport as I am.
Thank you Tony and the gang.
