Retirement & NZSA Closing Down Sale

Hi Everyone,

As you may know, our building is being sold. After a great deal of thought, and support from my family, I have decided to retire and close NZ Sea Adventures after 54 years of enjoyable diving and diver training.

After such a long time doing something I love, I feel incredibly fortunate to have trained and worked with some fantastic people, and enjoyed so many friendships and adventures.

A great big thanks to Peter for his loyalty and professionalism over 14 very busy years.

I don’t yet know the exact date we will close as that will depend, to a certain extent, on the sale of the building. I will keep you informed.

In the meantime, we are open! We would love your continued support as we run our storewide closing-down sale, with discounts off fishing, spearfishing, life jackets, dive gear, and more. Everything in the showroom is close to cost price.

Once again, thank you for your support over the years. It has truly meant a lot to me. We would love to see you in-store, share a story, and help you make the most of the great prices while stock lasts.

A PADI Open Water Diver Course opens up a whole new world beneath the oceans surface to explore (the other 70% of our planet). At NZ Sea Adventures, we have been training Scuba Divers since 1989 with an excellent reputation for quality and service.

Our services include things like: Snorkelling gear, Dive equipment and Scuba Diving courses, Freediving and Spearfishing gear, local diving, dive trips and First Aid training. We are the only Dive Centre in the area with an on-site dive pool, saving you time and money!

When taking Continuing Education courses you can enjoy a great range of Specialty Dive courses for things like improving your buoyancy control with the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty or learn about Emergency Oxygen or Dive Equipment. Plus more exhilarating things like taking the Wreck Diver Specialty and Deep Diver too… Enriched Air Nitrox is also great for improving your bottom time.

Our Dive Store on Marina View is open all year from 8am to 5pm. Once inside you’ll find everything you need for Snorkelling, Scuba diving, Fishing and Spearfishing both locally and further afield.

Over the years, New Zealand Sea Adventures has become known as Wellington’s Premier PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre. If you’re Looking to become a certified Scuba Instructor, our resident PADI Course Director Tony has loads of experience and many qualifications to draw from.

We make the extra effort to encourage Women in Diving too. Our team are specialists at making sure you are comfortable and taken care of. We select dive sites that suit your level of confidence and experience. It’s our job to make sure all your Scuba Diving experiences are enjoyable. With the right dive gear, dive site advice and safe diving practices, you will return safely every time feeling enthralled and exhilarated!
