Shearwater NERD, the world’s first near eye remote display for scuba divers has been redesigned for enhanced flexibility and reliability. In addition to the DiveCAN and Fischer versions, OC divers can now experience the freedom the NERD 2 has to offer. The universal regulator mount allows divers to secure the NERD 2 within their line of sight and dive with the security of knowing their crucial dive information with a glance of the eye.
From the combination of the Micro LCD display and the magnifying lens, the data on the NERD 2 appears as if you were looking at a 25 inch TV 12 feet away.
NERD 2 for CCR’s
The NERD 2 Head up display is the ultimate CCR upgrade. All the features of the Petrel 2 in a head up display unit. Clear display is easily readable. Uses a rechargeable battery and can monitor your cells via Fischer connector (Fischer cable sold separately).
The Shearwater NERD (Near Eye Remote Display) was the first technical dive computer with a display mounted on the diver’s Rebreather mouthpiece and has now been redesigned as the NERD 2 for enhanced flexibility and reliability. This revolutionary device keeps crucial information in your line-of-sight for the entire dive. Thanks to the Micro LCD display and magnifying lens, the data appears as if displayed on a 32” TV screen 12’ away, with no need to focus. The display is unobtrusive as it virtually disappears when you look straight ahead. The numbers are there when you need them and out of the way when you don’t.
Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery – The NERD 2 connects to a charging clip which snaps onto the back of the computer. The charge clip is splash proof and will connect to any USB cable which can connect to any USB port or to the power bank supplied by Shearwater. The power bank can provide 5 full charges to the NERD 2. The NERD 2 will run for a minimum of 18 hours at medium brightness with a full charge.

From the combination of the Micro LCD display and the magnifying lens, the data on the NERD 2 appears as if you were looking at a 64cm TV screen 3.5m away.
