Description

Look closer to see more on your next dive with the PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty. Look for symbioses, predator/prey and other relationships between aquatic plant and animal life. Learn not just what fish and animals are, but how they interact with each other and the environment.

Why take the PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty course?

Just like getting to know your equipment, getting to know your environment is a big step to getting more out of your diving. Knowing why fish are acting the way they are, knowing where to look for certain creatures and learning the relationship between animals, plants and the environment will all make your diving more enjoyable and fulfilling. Underwater Naturalist Course is packed with fun!

What’s involved in the course?

We will cover the major aquatic life groupings, interactions and factual information that dispels negative myths; the role of aquatic plants, food chains and predator prey relationships; responsible interactions with aquatic life; and the underwater naturalist’s view of organisms and their roles in the environment.
